The best way to keep zucchini blossoms open is after you extract the stamen by twisting gently and you clean them with fresh water, stack them the one inside the other like plastic cups. Leave them in a bowl of cold water till you use them. It is absolutely necessary to cook them the same day you buy them.
Unfortunately we all have scratches on our furniture. Either by awkward small children using our dining table as the departing point for their plastic cars or airplanes or even from ourselves in a moment of clumsiness.
There is a remedy for the minor scratches in order to avoid the carpenter: Make a solution of 2 parts olive oil to 1 part white- wine vinegar; use a soft cloth dipped in the solution (squeezed well ) and rub on the scratches. Most of them will disappear.
I get really mad when I have to throw away things that I have not used enough. There is a way to reuse them especially in case you are addicted to recycling as I am! Put your hand inside and gently touch all dusty surfaces. Miracle! No more dust or cotton balls. Clean shiny surfaces! Then you can through them away without remorse (Unless you want to wash and reuse).
If so put a new paper filter and fill the whole reservoir with white vinegar. Start the coffee maker and run half of the vinegar through. Let it rest for 30 minutes and re start it again till it runs the rest of the vinegar through. Throw the vinegar away and repeat the process twice with tap water.
